We already arrived at our new destination and it’s already April, so things are going very fast! We’ve already seen a lot and we are very happy that we’re doing this world tour, but we really miss you guys!! If you travel from one country to another you see a lot of different cultures, but it isn’t always easy to deal with those different cultures.
Today we’ve arrived in Chad, this time we didn’t had to travel far because Chad is the country next to Libya and our previous destination was LibyaJ
Chad is also known as the republic of Chad, it is in central Africa. The languages that the people speak here are French and Arabic. We are happy that we understand some words of French because otherwise it would be very awkward when we try to explain something. We would have to try and explain things with our hands and feet :P
When we arrived we had the opportunity to ride a camel in the dessert. It was fantastic and I thoroughly loved it! I wasn’t scared, only when the camel had to stand up it was a bit scary for a second. We have visited three well-known rocks with our camels, and we could see the sunrise. It was a very special experience! I had already done that before with my parents, but each it remains a wonderful thing to see!
Tomorrow there is a party in the neighbourhood, everyone makes something to eat and then they dance and eat and drink and laugh. We heard that it is a very nice party and we would like to get to know some new friends! We already learned some parts of their anthem. Of course it is a song that you can’t miss on a party like that, so we want to learn the lyrics so we can sing with themJ You have a French version and an Arabic version of the song, which one do you think that we have chosen? Indeed the French version! The name of the song is La Tchadienne.
Life here in Chad isn’t easy, the habitants who live here are very poor, they work in agriculture or animal husbandry. The economy is very bad, they need help of the development aid.
If we look to the political side of this country, we see that Chad is a democratic republic. They have a president: Idriss Déby.
Now I want to study the text of the song for tomorrow because it isn’t easy!
